'Muhammad (PBUH): The Messenger of God' to have free screenings

'Muhammad (PBUH): The Messenger of God' is to have a three-day free screening, marking the birthday of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

On the birthday anniversary of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), Majid Majidi's blockbuster is to have free public screenings.

The movie portrays the life of Islam’s Holy Prophet and narrates his early years in Mecca. This is the first part of a trilogy which seems to cover the entire life of the Prophet.

A number of internationally-acclaimed professionals, including Academy Award winning visual effects supervisor and filmmaker, Scott E. Anderson, and three-time Oscar-winning Italian director of photography, Vittorio Storaro, collaborated in the making of the film.

The movie attracted a large number of audiences during its screening in Iranian cinemas and abroad, including in Russia, Turkey, Iraq, Azerbaijan, and so on.

The screenplay of the film, which is the biggest-budget production in Iranian cinema, was co-written by Majidi and Kambozia Partovi.
